Hello all,

We have been developing, customizing and using many extensions for our clients on Joomla projects. Lastly we got some offers for forking the sh404 extension which formerly gone commercial. Open source and free extension development is a hard path we all know it is a voluntueer's job. Meanwhile all developers are also people and have stomachs to fill. Generally developers release their code for free when they want to help the public. Under this behaviour there is a unwished truth to get some back. Many free extensions are living on donations as you know and many are not being donated. This makes the developer upset.

If we come to conclusion. We are not sure of forking the project as we also plan to release some commercial products which we work at the moment soon. However we will consider forking the project if we get approval of the original developer and also atleast 1000 unique requests.
